Pyrops sultanus (spread), Lanternfly, Leaf Hopper, Entomology, Spread lantern bug, real insect, curio

This package includes one specimen of Pyrops sultana, a gorgeous lanternfly. They have striking coloration and pattern, which includes blood red, golden, chocolate, and flour white. They look a little like they've been sprinkled with flour, as some of the "flour" can be seen looking rather like a powder. Not exactly sure what this stuff is called, but it's natural waxy secretion to the insect. These are relatives of cicadas, although they look nothing alike. Very unique "nose"! They have a wingspan of about 3.5-4 inches. From Indonesia. They are A Quality, which means that everything should be there and in place. These come already spread, so there is nothing for you to do except open the package and glue it into your project! Any type of glue will work; I often use Elmer's. The packages come with special plastic reinforcement to keep the "noses" secure during transport.
